The Davis’

Piedmont Park- Atlanta, Georgia

The Davis family experienced the tragedy of losing their baby girl, Haven, 35 weeks into pregnancy. As a friend to the Davis family, my husband and I, along with many other friends and church family, were present with the Davis’ the morning they birthed their still baby girl. It was such a raw, deeply emotional, sad, and devastating time. However, the Spirit of the Lord was present in that room. We worshipped, prayed, cried, spoke life, and held on to one another. I have never seen so much hope, praise, and trust in the Lord’s goodness such a heart breaking time. I’m so deeply encouraged by the Davis family and how they have fought to be present in their heart aches with their community, and in their relationship with Jesus. They haven’t lost hope! Though they know that their daughter isn’t with them, they rejoice knowing that she is with her Savior, Jesus.

I captured their sweet family session several months later, though still heart breaking, it was a joy to be present with them, and see their love and joy in the midst of a painful season of grief and healing.
